The Village Post

What we keep

Anna keeps a notebook and a box of letters. That's about the size of it here, too. You're entitled to the specifics, so here they are, plainly.

What we collect

Your email address, if you give it to us. That's the only thing we ask for and the only thing we keep. We use it for one thing, which is sending you the stories. We don't ask for your name, your location, or anything else. If you'd rather read without leaving an address, everything on this site is free to read without one.

Nothing else. There are no analytics on this site, no advertising pixels, no tracking scripts, and no cookies set by us. The fonts and images are served from this site itself rather than from a font or content network, which means loading this page does not tell any other company that you were here.

Who handles it

Two companies are involved in getting the village to you, and both have their own privacy policies:

That's the complete list. No one else receives anything.

What we never do

We do not sell your address. We do not rent, trade, or share it. Nobody receives it except the email service that sends the letters, which cannot send them without it. We do not add you to any list you didn't ask to be on, and we do not use your address to advertise anything to you anywhere else.

Leaving

Every letter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately. One click, no questions, no "are you sure."

If you'd like your address deleted entirely rather than just unsubscribed, write to hello@cocoyellowvillage.com and it will be removed. You don't have to give a reason.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.

If this changes

If we ever add something, analytics or a shop or anything that collects more than an email address, this page gets updated before that happens, and the date below changes. We won't quietly start collecting more.

Questions about any of this go to hello@cocoyellowvillage.com and a person reads them.

Effective 3 August 2026.
